CHILD SAFETY

Waverley Night Netball Association is a Child Safe Organisation. We commit to providing a safe environment for children in netball, and we follow the principles and benchmarks Netball Australia and Netball Victoria have in place.

Our Association agrees to comply with the Child Safety Standards as outlined in the Netball Australia Policy, "Safeguarding Children & Young People Policy".

The first step of the Child Safety policy requires that all individuals 18 years of age or older, who are in positions of responsibility where they have any interaction with junior members 17 years of age and younger, must have an approved Victorian Working With Children Check.  These positions include Coaches, Team Managers, Umpires, Committee Members and Competition Staff.
