Henderson Netball Region

We are excited to announce that the 2027 State Titles will take place on:

πŸ“ Red Energy Stadium, Bendigo.

This is a fantastic opportunity for our selected teams to compete against squads from the 18 regions across Victoria. It’s one of the biggest weekends in Victorian netball, where one region will be crowned the best in the state. Let’s make it Henderson’s year!

Henderson Netball Region Information

Netball Victoria's State Titles is an opportunity for all 18 regions across Victoria to compete in 15&U female, 17&U female, 17&U male, Open female, and mixed All Abilities competitions.

 

Teams play in a round robin style tournament, with the top teams playing off in finals to crown the state champions. State Titles provide an exciting and highly competitive environment for more than 600 emerging athletes, as well as coaches, umpires, and officials.

Henderson Netball Region is one for the 18 regions represented by players, coaches and umpires from the following association:

  • Bayside & District

  • Caulfield & District 

  • Kingston & District

  • Stonnington City

  • Waverley District 

  • Waverley Night 

  • Yarra 

​

Athletes that are part of the Southern Saints VNL and Hawks VNL who have not signed a VNL Contract are also eligible to represent the region.

Trials registration will close 2 days prior to Trial 1.

​

If Selected

  • Training sessions are compulsory and will be scheduled once teams are selected.

  • All players will be required to purchase / source a minimum uniform requirement and agree to pay the set Player Levy.

  • Agree to abide by all Netball Victoria Codes of Conduct.

Player Levies

The Player Levy will be set once all details are confimed.

The levy will cover accommodation in Bendigo, meals, training venues,  medical, coaching and incidentals associated with the teams preparations and participation in the State Titles. 

​

  • U15 & U17 Female Teams: approx.  $$$ (staying 3 nights in Bendigo)

  • Open Female Team: approx. $$$ (staying 2 nights in Bendigo)

  • U17 Male Team: approx. $$$ (staying 1 night in Bendigo)

Player Eligibility

  • Players must meet Netball Victoria’s age and eligibility requirements.

  • All players must complete the online registration form by the advertised closing date.

  • Late registrations may be accepted at the discretion of the STO if valid reasons (e.g. illness, technical issues) are provided.

  • Players must nominate at least two preferred playing positions via their registration form.

Attendance and Trial Structure

  • Two (2) official trials will be conducted:

Trial 1: Open to all eligible, registered players.

Trial 2: By invitation, based on performance in Trial 1 or for approved apologies.

 

  • Players must attend at least one trial to be eligible for selection with no exception.

  • Players will be played in at least two positions (including one nominated position).

  • Selectors may request that players trial in alternative positions to assess their versatility and team balance.

​

Apologies will be considered based on the following:

  • An apology must be made in writing to the State Titles Officer with a reason for nonattendance.

  • Players not able to attend the first trial will be asked to provide a Playing CV to be considered for attendance at further trials.

  • Players unable to attend a trial due to attending Netball Victoria Pathway programs will not be required to provide a Player CV.
